This is a sad day for fantasy art and comic book fans. Frank Frazetta died today of a stroke. After having dinner with his family he wasn't feeling well and was taken to a hospital where he later died ( as reported by Dave Itzkoff at NY Times.)

Frank Frazetta was a legend in his own time. He made a name for himself with his bold painting style and pop culture themes of Conan the Barbarian. Frazetta has done movie posters, comic books, cd covers, and many others. His paintings are recognized by their scantily clad, buxom women, and heavily muscled men.

I'm deeply saddened by this news. Frank Frazetta is/was an outstanding artist in his own right. Salute, and may you rest in peace.

Hi, my name is Amy. I've been reading fantasy fiction since I was a child. I fell in love with fairytales, myths, legends, stories in fantastic realms, and urban tales of werewolves, vampires and other creatures.

I first discovered the amazing world of fantasy art through the art on the covers  of the books I read. Most books have the name of the artist on the cover itself, or on the copyright page. As I looked up the cover artists I discovered more and more art. Now, I have gathered it here for you to enjoy.

I will use this blog to inform my viewers of upcoming fantasy art events, fantasy art book reviews,  artist news, and anything else I can think of.

    Please enjoy!
